Land Registry – Supply of Documents in Certified Form
From 30th June 2014 the Land Registry no longer requires the supply of original documents when applying by post to change the Title Register of a Property, now only requiring the submission of certified copies. If originals are sent, these will be scanned and then destroyed, so clients should be wary of supplying documents which they might need to future conveyancing transactions.
It should be noted that this poicy does not apply to first registrations, only to changes to the Title of land already registered. For further information, please contact us.
